    The treatment of mandible subcondylar fractures often difficult owing to the location. It is difficult to retract in addition to the location of the facial nerve and the retromandibular plexus of veins.

    Closed treatment can be used but the physiology of the bone healing is more like a mandible than a condylar head fracture. The retromandibular approach will be discussed including the nuances of plating in addition to reduction techniques.
